Hope 4 Hopeless Donates 12 New Hospital Mattresses to TOSHPA for Connaught Hospital Ward 6
Freetown, Sierra Leone — The Organisation of Sierra Leonean Healthcare Professionals Abroad (TOSHPA) has received 12 brand new hospital mattresses for Ward 6 at Connaught Hospital, generously donated by Hope 4 Hopeless, a UK-based charity founded by TOSHPIAN Fatmata Alpha.
The official receiving and handover ceremony took place yesterday, with representatives from TOSHPA and the Connaught Hospital Management Team in attendance. The event highlighted the continued spirit of collaboration between Sierra Leonean health professionals in the diaspora and local hospital leadership.
TOSHPA’s representative expressed deep gratitude to Fatmata Alpha and the staff of Hope 4 Hopeless for their commitment to improving patient care and comfort at Sierra Leone’s main referral hospital.
“We are truly thankful to our fellow TOSHPIAN Fatmata Alpha for this meaningful contribution,” said the TOSHPA representative. “Your generosity reminds us that every little effort makes a big difference — and together, we can strengthen healthcare in our nation.”
The Connaught Hospital management team also extended their appreciation to TOSHPA and the donors for their quick coordination and timely response to the hospital’s needs.
This donation underscores TOSHPA’s ongoing mission to support healthcare delivery, facility renovation, and patient welfare in Sierra Leone through strategic partnerships with both local and international organizations.
